About Us

Body Beat was founded in April 2017 by two friends that have a shared passion for fitness and health. We have come together with the goal of empowering our community to embrace all that’s possible for their lives and their bodies.

Body Beat provides classes taught by professionally certified teachers that not only benefit individuals on their outward appearance, but boost confidence and inner strength.

We encourage the community around us to move with us everyday towards a healthier and happier life! 

Meet The Founders

 
Ari

Hi, I’m Arianne.

I have been a part of the fitness industry for over eight years. I grew up doing sports and have always lived an active lifestyle, but when I found Cardio Kickboxing at the age of fourteen it changed my life and inspired me to become more passionate about fitness and health. 

When I was twenty two I started teaching my own classes from my home and began to look at fitness more as a career  than a hobby. I left my corporate job and began my journey into becoming a fitness trainer.

I have worked in fitness studios both in Trinidad and Australia, mostly with women, and therefore my classes are geared towards women. My past experience has been teaching group classes and motivating people within a group environment. However three years ago I began doing personal training and interacting with clients on a one on one level to help them reach their personal fitness goals. 

My mission is to create a safe space for my clients where they can feel confident and empowered.

Mariel

Hey, I’m Mariel.

My journey into the fitness industry began as a teenager when a desire grew within me to change my own body from its “skinny” physique, to a strong and powerful one.

Dipping into the waters, I began competing in triathlons representing my high school, and regularly attending TRX classes. It was at this age that I not only saw my body transform, but my mind as I felt more confident and comfortable in my own skin.

My enthusiasm for health kicked into high gear whilst pursuing my Bachelors Degree in Public Health at the University of Tampa. It was there I also completed my training in TRX, getting certified in TRX Functional Training, TRX Group Training and TRX Suspension Training courses.

Upon returning to Trinidad, I began training small groups and one on one clients. Fast forward 5 years later, and my passion for fitness has only increased as I try to push my clients to be the best versions of themselves- with a little added sass.

Arianne’s qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Marketing

  • Certification III IN FITNESS from Australian College of Sport and Fitness

  • Kettlebell kickboxing instructor KBIA

  • Corrective Exercise Specialist - NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine)

  • Fitness Nutrition Specialist Certification - NASM

  • Pre & Post Natal Coaching Certification- GGS (Girls Gone Strong Academy)

Mariel’s qualifications include:

Ari’s favourite exercise is Kettlebell Swings!

BEWARE! She’s also known for saying “ “This is the last one I promise” (when it’s definitely NOT).

Mariel LOVES jump squats!

“It’s such a good exercise for your lower body and of course glutes. [I’m guilty of loving burpees as well]”

Be warned! “Ok Guys, 100 jump squats and thennnn we are done” can be heard throughout any of her classes.
